As a former D1 and professional athlete with a BA in Interpersonal Communication from Kent State, I bring a unique blend of experience, passion, and drive to my coaching. With over 11 years of training experience, multiple certifications, and a track record of coaching over 3,000 clients, I am fully committed to helping you achieve your goals.

 

Since the first CBP began in 2013, I've trained thousands across all sports, Transformed hundreds of adult clientele, developed over 250 collegiate athletes, 70+ Division 1 athletes, including 7 professional athletes.

 

Join me and my team at Coached By Plez and take the next step toward your transformation in life, fitness, or athletics. We work with all populations and have different programs available for everyone.

Coach Drew Gloster Coach Drew has been coaching and training since 2014 and is the founder and owner of Mind Over Matter Athletics, established in 2020 in Montgomery County. Specializing in Strength Training and Defensive Line Training, Drew brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a growth mindset that inspires everyone around him. More than just a coach, Drew is a mentor and brother to every athlete he works with. His unique ability to connect with individuals and develop their core values and outlook on life sets him apart. At Coached By Plez, Drew will lead our Strength Training and Defensive Line Training programs, and we are thrilled to have him on board to elevate our programs. Drew is a legend at Good Counsel High School, where he won the GC Male Athlete Award in both his junior and senior years. A 4-STAR football prospect, Drew was named Prep Star All-American, First Team All-Met, All-State, All-County, and All-Conference. He also received the All Sentinel Football Team Award, Pigskin Club Award, and George Michael's Golden 11. Drew graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, after being ranked #7 in the state and #22 in the country for his position as a senior. Last year, he was ranked the 80th best high school football recruit in Maryland over the past 22 years. Drew's playing career includes time as a Wide Receiver and Defensive End at Good Counsel from 2002 to 2006, and as a Tight End and Defensive End at the University of Maryland from 2006 to 2010. He also played linebacker for the Columbus Lions in the Professional Indoor Football League in 2012. Meet the TRAINERS

Steven Reid Originally from Frederick, MD, Coach Steven graduated from Tuscarora High School. While in high school, Steven was a track and field sprinter and jumper. At Tuscarora, he was named Frederick County Champion in the 200m dash and 2nd in the 400m, then became the Regional Champion in the 400m Dash and 2nd in the 200m Dash. At the Maryland State 3A Track and Field meet he finished 5th in the 200m dash and 2nd in the 400m. After a successful high school season was named Frederick County's Outdoor Track and Field athlete of the year. While in high school, Steven found his passion for helping others increase their athleticism at Frederick Indoor Soccer Center, where he used to train. After high school, he attended and competed at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and did a Strength and Conditioning internship at Duquesne University, working with all of their sports teams. He graduated from IUP with a bachelor's in physical education and sports with a minor in sports management. He has done various internships working with various populations, from children to collegiate athletes, working on speed, power, strength, and mobility. Steven as certifications through: ISSA Personal Training Altis Shorts Sprint Certification Les Spellman Lv 1 Speed Development

Introducing TD Ayo-Durojaiye, a dynamic coach at Coached By Plez. A proud graduate of Damascus High School (Class of 2019) and Villanova University (Class of 2023), TD's athletic achievements speak for themselves. At Damascus, he excelled in Football, Track & Field, and Basketball, earning titles as a 2x All-County and 1x All-Met football player, and a 5x Regional Champion and State Finalist in the Long Jump. His college career at Villanova was equally impressive, where he became a 2x CAA Champion and 3x All-Conference Specialist, racking up an incredible 2,700 All-Purpose Yards. TD began training clients during the pandemic, and now, he brings his extensive experience as a high-level athlete, combined with the knowledge gained over the last 8 years of working with and being a student of Coach Plez, to prepare today’s athletes for success.

Coach Kwame Kwame Asante is a dedicated and passionate fitness professional committed to helping clients reach their full potential and achieve their health and fitness goals. With certifications in Personal Training, Sports Nutrition, and as a Sports Performance Specialist, Kwame brings a comprehensive approach to his training methodology. Kwame's journey through the world of sports is diverse and rich with experience. He has participated in college basketball, trained with the UMD women's basketball team, and worked with both collegiate and professional athletes. These experiences have provided him with a deep understanding of strength training and athletic skill development. His expertise extends to fat-loss strategies, lifestyle habit improvements, and muscle-building techniques. With over ten years of experience, Kwame has successfully guided clients of all fitness levels toward transformational results. Committed to ongoing education, Kwame stays updated with the latest advancements in the fitness industry. He continuously integrates the newest research and techniques into his training programs, ensuring that his customized workouts and personalized nutrition plans are tailored to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Kwame's approach makes every step of the fitness journey effective and enjoyable. Outside the gym, Kwame leads by example, embodying a healthy and active lifestyle that inspires those around him. His approach is centered on empowerment, determination, and building a strong foundation for lasting success.
